James Jr. was born on 21 April 1961 to James L. Dye Sr. and Brigitte (Fichtel) Dye in the U.S. Army hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. He has two brothers: Michael K. and Siegfried E. Dye.
James Jr. traveled with his parents on several military assignments to include, India, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Thailand, Japan, and several United States from California to Maine.
Being the eldest son, he was given the responsibility to care for his two younger brothers and fill-in for his father that often traveled alone on assignments like Korea, Vietnam and often to different duty stations that required him to travel first and the family followed later.
James Jr. worked in food service. He managed several high-end restaurants such as the Country Club in Aspen, Colorado, Alpen Glo Stuben on top of the mountain in Keystone, Colorado and several others in the ski resorts in Colorado.
His mother, Brigitte, passed away on 15 September 2016 and was deeply missed by James Jr. and his family. This was an extremely difficult burden for him to accept and understand. Almost everything he saw or touched reminded him of his beloved mother.
James Jr. died from an acute severe heart attack on 13 November 2016. That was the date of the super moon that had not been seen for several decades and will not be seen again until 2045.
James Jr. will go to the heavens beyond and find his mother and watch after her until the rest of the Dye family get there.
