Jimmy Sands

Jimmy Sands, 31, of Thornton, passed away unexpectedly, August 25, 2017.

He was born May 5, 1986 in Aurora, Colorado, the son of James and Dawn (Walker) Sands . He was a graduate of Horizon High School. He was raised in Colorado with his parents and two brothers Zachary and Joshua. After 9 years of dating, on February 14, 2017 he married Cassie Griswold, of Brighton, Colorado.

As a young boy Jimmy was very curious and mischievous. He was very close and spent a lot of time with his cousins and friends, always keeping his parents on their toes. He had an infectious smile that would light up the room. He loved his family dearly and would always greet you with a hug, and say goodbye with an "I love you" and another hug. He loved living his lifestyle of Cadillacs, flat brimmed hats and music.

As Jimmy grew into a young man he married his girlfriend of 9 years, Cassie. They were working hard to raise their beautiful family, which included four children, Brayden (8), Alaina (6), Caylee (4) and Dillon (3). He filled his time working for the USPS trying to provide for his family and fulfilling his love of fishing in the Colorado Mountains. Jimmy was taken from this world way too soon. His memory will forever be remembered in all of our hearts.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cassie Sands; four children, Brayden, Alaina, Caylee and Dillon. His loving parents, Jim and Dawn Dee Sands. His two brothers and sister-in-law, Zachary and Miracel Sands and Joshua Sands. Jimmy's two grandmothers, Nancy Sands and Joy Prost. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harry Sands and Harold Walker.
