The sun rose on the life of Mr. Jefferson (Jeff) Williams on November 16, 1931. He was the second of five children.
He was born November 16, 1931 in Mansfield, Louisiana, the son of Sam and Fannie (Cato) Williams. He was a graduate of Manuel High School. He married Elnora Williams, of Minden, Louisiana.
He was a proud member of the Colorado Air National Guard for over 25 years. He became the first black Assistant Fire Chief. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado. He loved hunting, fishing, he also loved his Denver Broncos.
The sun set on his life on November 14, 2017 where he entered into eternal rest.
Jefferson is survived by his son, James (Alice) Williams; three grandchildren, James C. Williams, Justin K. Williams, and LeRoy Grimes; five great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Watson; and brother, Jerry Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Fannie Williams; wife, Elnora Williams; son, Donald Ray Williams; two daughters, MaryAnn Williams and Linda D. Williams; two grandchildren, Donald Ray Williams and Nicole Grimes; and two sisters, Mattie Williams and Hattie Williams.
