Andrew Martinez Jr.

June 30, 1935 — December 22, 2021

Andrew Martinez Jr. passed away on December 22, 2021.

Andrew enjoyed a long life lived fully.
He was an inspiration to his wife Emily Martinez of 65 years, who preceded him in death, his children Andrew Martinez III, Randolph Martinez (Terry), Sandra DeMarzo (Angelo), Rodney Martinez (Lisa) and a loving and supportive extended family.

Andrew was born in Boulder, CO and was raised in Denver, where he worked his way through college while supporting a young family.

He graduated from Regis College, earned his MBA from The University of Denver and obtained his CPA license.

Andrew's accounting career with Deloitte ascended quickly as a result of his extremely strong work ethic, tenacity, and dedication, eventually taking him and Emily overseas to Panama City, Panama and Mexico City, Mexico where they lived for many years.

He and Emily traveled extensively throughout South America and Europe. They returned to Colorado to build a home on Lookout Mountain near Golden that reverberates with many memories with the family over the years.

Andrew retired from Deloitte but returned to work for the City and County of Denver's auditor's office at DIA for several years.

Andrew was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan and loved all competitive sports. He was a long time skier who stopped skiing at age 75 to focus on his true favorite sport—golf.
He loved playing golf and had many friends that shared his enthusiasm for the sport, and on occasion traveled out of state to play in Nevada and New Mexico.

He will be greatly missed for his unyielding love and support of family and friends and his deep wisdom and ready advice that he freely shared with all.

A small service will be held for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation
