Diana Lynn Welch

November 7, 1953 — February 18, 2022

God knows we are not perfect ...just forgiven. The power and sadness of death has been minimized and is being replaced with the power of precious memories. Precious memories..how they linger. Our memories have become the dominant part of our relationship with her. Unfortunately, the earthly relationship came to an end on February 18, 2022 at University of Denver Hospice Center in Aurora, CO.

Diana Lynn (Teenie) Welch was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. She grew up in the loving home of her parents the late O. J. and Geraldine T. Richardson. Also, under the watchful eye of Aunt Bo. Memories and relationships are too numerous to list so we pray that God will allow you to individualize yours. Growing up and attending school in the Lansing School District Diana was always an excellent high achieving student as she matriculated to graduation from JW Sexton High School. Some of her work experiences were the State of Michigan and United Airlines.

The foundation of her Christian faith was laid in the Olds Avenue Original Church of God. She was service oriented in her efforts. Faithful service was her life as the Sunday School secretary, Youth Choir Director, HYPU student leader, Usher, kitchen assistant and any place her hands could find to serve. She was a regular attendee to the annual Original Church of God June Convocation held in Battle Creek, MI. Diana was also a constant companion with her mother when she traveled in ministry. This is where the foundation of her Christian faith was birthed and nurtured.

Train up a child in the way they should go.

We do know that diabolic distractions are always present. Although the desire to seek bright lights and big city lies within each of us, there remains a dominant part of God's plan that will ultimately lead us back home. Under the leadership of her brother and Pastor Leslie D. Richardson, Sr., she found her way back home. It is well known how God blessed her with a telephone ministry of encouragement and she maximized it to serve faithfully in her home church. The church family lovingly referred to her as Aunt Teenie. Several months prior to her demise she would tell her mother "don't worry about me.....God has me". Precious memories how they linger. God alone knew the plans he had for her life as illness continue to ravage her small frame. So the God of all grace utilized His infinite wisdom and took her home. We have the assurance that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. So thanks be to God for the victory.

Precious memories of time shared with Diana will be a vital part of the loss felt by her husband, Joe Eddie Welch, of Denver, CO, her mother, Pastor Geraldine T. Richardson of Lansing, MI, brothers, Michael A. Richardson, Pastors Leslie D. (Lily) Richardson, of Denver, CO, Minister Dwayne J. (Marguerite) Richardson of Lansing, MI; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, God Mother, a loving church family MFH of Denver and a host of friends.
