Thomas Michael Torpey
1956-2022
Thomas passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2022 with his wife of 31 years by his side.
He is survived by his wife Julia Torpey; mother Frances Torpey; sister Cynthia Lial and husband Joe; brother Joseph Torpey; sister Theresa Valdez and husband Ernest; sister Catherine Eldredge and husband John; brother Michael Torpey and wife Janice; and brother Stephen Torpey and wife Dana. His father Charles Torpey followed him in death on May 20, 2022.
Tom had a long and successful career in the automotive industry for over 40 years. He held several different positions and even worked in the construction field both as a manager and mechanic.
His hobbies included working on the vehicles and he built a hot rod in 1972 - Ford Pinto that was his pride and joy. He also enjoyed building a gaming computer at home. He was an avid fisherman and caught several large northern pike in Canada with his brother-in-law Dan and friends Scott and Tony, a barracuda in Mexico with his friend Jeff, and a 20 pound catfish at Cherry Creek Reservoir fishing with his wife Julie.

Monday, September 19, 2022, 12:00pm, at Cherry Creek State Park, the Smoky Hill Group Picnic area. There is a $11.00 entrance fee per vehicle to enter the park. Enter Cherry Creek from the East entrance; take the third left to the Smoky Hill picnic area. See the map
