John Edward Palmer, 70, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday October 26th, 2022.
He was born to James and Irma Palmer, Feb 8 1952 in Macon, GA. at Robins Air Force Base.
John's Dad was in the AirForce, and eventually moved and retired at Lowry Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado in 1959.
John was 7 years old when his family moved to Aurora. This is where John called home, and spent the rest of his life.
He was a lover of the outdoors. John was an avid motorcyclist. At times, you could see 2 or 3 parked at the house. He loved to hop on them to enjoy the freedom and feel of the breeze in his hair. Camping and boating were also some of his big time favorites. He had multiple friends who also loved the outdoors and reservoirs with him.
He worked as a personal trainer along side of his brother for a brief time, and was able to bench press 285 lbs! He was so strong and enjoyed weight lifting! After the Health Club he joined the Army for a short time. He also worked very closely with his Dad, who taught him the trade of auto mechanics. They would often go the the Hobby Shop on base to work on engines, among other things. His later years were mostly involved with working on cars, then fixing and selling them. John and his Dad were quite involved in this hobby/career together.
He is survived by his mother Irma Palmer; brother Mike Palmer; sister's Patsy Fraley and Debbie Safonovs; brother-in-law's Mike Fraley and Rich Safonovs. He is also survived by niece's Carmen Glancy, Vanessa Safonovs and Lacey Safonovs; and grand-nephew Daniel Glancy. He is preceded in death by his dad James Palmer, sister Betty Glancy and nephew Todd Glancy.
