William Frederick Heffernan, III

Bill died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on January 25, 2023.
Bill was born January 29, 1938 in County Cork, Ireland, in the city of Youghal to William Frederick Heffernan II and Anastasia Fitzpatrick Heffernan. He grew up in Ferrybank and Waterford, Ireland before moving to Colorado, in 1953. Bill attended Cathedral High School in Denver before transferring to Mullen High School where he graduated. He became a US citizen on October 6, 1959. He went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. After serving his country, Bill enjoyed a lifelong career as an electrician.
Bill is survived by Martha Gremel (Heffernan), his wife of 59 years, son William Heffernan IV (Mollie Heffernan), Erin (great grandchildren Caleb and Stella Heffernan), Abby (Mike Cole, great grandchildren Seamus and Gunnar Cole) and BJ (Brooke Heffernan); Tamara Theisen (Chris Theisen), Emma and Conor; Karen Graham (Chris Graham) Adam and Mitch. He is preceded in death by his grandson Noah.
Bill lived life to the fullest. He loved watching soccer, the Denver Broncos and singing. Bill was charismatic and loved meeting new people. He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty and friendship and will be dearly missed.
