Amanda Aurora Martinez

Amanda was born on May 14, 1991, it was a Tuesday, in Denver Colorado. A little baby with big brown eyes. Right from the start her eyes were a window to her soul. A soul that loved to be adventurous, loved the Colorado mountains, rivers, camping and anything outdoors. Amanda loved food, tattoos, and animals. She loved her family, her niece, and nephews tremendously, and she loved her friends.

Amanda attended John F. Kennedy high school. She was caregiver at Applewood "Our House" Assisted Living and Memory Care. She loved her patients, and they loved her right back. She was great friends with her work colleagues, and they were family to her. When she spoke of work, she spoke of it very highly.

Amanda was that person that would join you when you were down, to pick you back up, she would tell you like it is and be straight up with you, or just sit with you and be there, she knew which one you needed. She took in others' sadness and emotions even though she had her own to deal with. Her smile made you smile and when she laughed, it was genuine. Amanda loved to have deep conversations and had amazing spiritual awareness. Amanda left us too soon; but earth was not her home. She will forever be in our hearts and on our minds. We feel unbearable sadness and grief with her loss but feel comfort knowing she is finally home.

Amanda is survived by Father, Donnie Martinez, Grandmother Connie Martinez, Sister Melissa, niece Jada and nephews Xavier and Roman. Grandmother Vivian Burciaga, Brothers Charles and Thomas and Sister Ernestine. Brothers Anthony and Christopher and Sisters Veronica and Genevive.

Amanda is preceded in death by her Mother, Rachael Gonzales, Stepmother, Debra Martinez and Grandfather, Sydney Martinez.
