Donald Leo Delgado of Denver, Colo., passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was 58 years old. Donald was born in Denver, Colorado on March 29, 1956 and grew up in a tight-knit family with no shortage of uncles and aunties and cousins to pass away the time with.
He was a well-respected local hair designer. Donald worked for many years in the cosmetology industry. To his close friends and family, he had a sharp wit and a loving heart and was the kind of man who didn't shy away from a good time. His charisma and smile lit every room he entered, and repeatedly have heard 'you couldn't be in a bad mood when Donald was around.' His sense of humor, his patience, his giving soul was one of a kind. He was a great father who was our light and he will be missed eternally.
He loved fishing, jazz music, working on vehicles and spending time with his family. He had scores of nieces and nephews who, along with their children, fawned over their uncle with more than a few referring to him as "uncs." His loss is deeply felt and he will be missed by family and friends alike.
Donald is survived by his Mother Mary Delgado-Ruibal, Sister Louise Delgado-Vincent, Dolores Delgado-Trujillo, Nadine Gonzales-Gregory, Daughter Morgan Delgado, Son Angelo Martell and numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father Joe Delgado, and sister Eleanor Ruibal and Grandparents Celestino and Charlotte Ruibal. May he rest in peace and enjoy the company of all the loved ones waiting for him in our Lord's kingdom. Flowers may be sent to the church.
