Abraham C. Cruz

Abraham C. Cruz born on May 18, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Estela; sons Edward, Abraham, Manuel (Joann) and Michael (Danae); daughters Carla (Nate) and Laura; brothers Ernest, Gilbert, Jesse, Robert, George, Daniel and Jerry; sisters Elvira Adame, Diana Medellin and a total of 18 grandchildren. Abe grew up in San Antonio, Texas. At the age of 17 years he enlisted in the U. S. Army and later in the U. S. Air Force where he served his country with honor. In Denver he was employed at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal where he retired in 1996. Abe enjoyed being with family always involved with bringing his family together. He loved his San Antonio, especially eating at his favorite restaurant Lisa's. His pride and Joy was his family. Having lived in Denver much of his life he loved the outdoors especially going up to the mountains for getaways. Abe will be deeply missed by all, and he will live on in our hearts with his openness, warmth and the smile with which he greeted everyone. He made us laugh, he sat with us when we cried and always encouraged us to do our best. A memorial in his honor will be held at the American Legion on Friday, September 29, 2006 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at 5421 E. 71st Ave., Commerce City, CO.
