ALBERT ALLEN BAKER

Albert, 89 was born in Ellenville, N.Y to Almerion and Jessie (Yaple). He graduated from Monticello High School in 1946 the girls called him "Sugar Cookie" he was on the soccer and gymnastics team. He was a steady traveler to White Lake N.Y. where he enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting and hanging out with family and friends. He also went to a Methodist Church with his grandmother Mary (who raised him and his brother Roy) every Sunday where he was active in the choir and youth group.
He enlisted in the Air-Force in 1948 . He was stationed in Wiesbaden Germany in 1949 during the Berlin Airlift where he met the love of his life Hildegard (Baumann). He had many military assignments including the Korean occupation which he referred to as the "Hell Hole". He also had two more assignments in Germany. He retired from the military in 1970 after serving for 23 yrs. He earned an associate degree in teaching auto mechanics cars were one of his loves.
The family moved to Denver in 1970 after his retirement. He did some sub-teaching in the Aurora Public Schools for car repairs. In 1971 went in he car sales business with Chevrolet quickly became truck sales manger. Received many top awards, salesman of the month many times. He was placed in the Hall of Fame several times. He had also been awarded many trips. He and mom loved to travel to Hawaii and Mexico. He found his gift selling cars for 20 years. He was a lighthearted man with a great sense of humor even to the end. His motto was "They laugh that win!" After retiring from the car business he enjoyed assisting his wife care giving for their two grandchildren and loved going to their school programs and baseball games.
Albert is proceeded in death by his wife many family members. He is survived by two children Rosie Radocy (Richard) Al, J.R. Two grandchildren Kristin Day (Brandon), Tim (Robin) one great-grandson Dean. Two step-grandchildren Lisa Sandoval (Steve) Jim Radocy (Carrie) four step-great grandchildren, Nathan, Kayla, Josh and Molly .Nieces and Nephew in Germany also nieces and nephew in New York and Florida.
