Our wonderful husband and father, Albert Langemann, 55, died of a heart attack on January 10, 2009 while snowshoeing on the Longs Peak trail with family and friends.
Albert was born on December 31, 1953 in Buenos Aries, Argentina, the oldest of two children. In 1965, Albert immigrated with his family to Vancouver, BC, Canada. Albert graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 1978 with Bachelors' degrees in both music and mathematics. In 1977, Albert married the love of his life, Lorrie, and they enjoyed 31 years of love together in the Lord Jesus Christ. Albert worked for Computronix, a computer software firm, for 24 years. In 2000, the Langemann family moved to Lakewood, Colorado, where Albert continued work for Computronix, enjoyed hiking in the Colorado Rockies, and spent time deepening relationships with each of his children and with his church family in Colorado. Albert loved the Lord with his whole heart and was committed to following his ways. Life was always an adventure with Albert, and the blessing of his life continues in our lives even as he is gone from us.
Albert Langemann is survived by his wife, Lorraine; nine children; Joshua & Erin (Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada), Christy, Angela, Joseph, Melody, William, Andrew, Daniel, and Amy (Lakewood, Colorado); a soon-to-be-born grandchild; parents, Albert & Kaethe Langemann; and sister, Rita Peters. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service in celebration of Albert's life will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 1:00 PM at Waterstone Community Church in Littleton, CO (5890 S Alkire St).
Special thanks to the Rocky Mountain National Parks personnel for their incredible support.
