Albert E. Bryant, Jr.

Albert Enmon Bryant, Jr., was born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 16, 1928, to his father, Albert Enmon Bryant Sr. (Deceased), and his mother, Katherine Colline (Henry) Bryant (Deceased). Albert (Al) had four sisters, Joyce L. Watson (Deceased), Virgie M. Mitchell (Deceased), Audrey A. Harris. and Kathrine L. (Bryant) Croucher (Deceased). His two brothers are; Elton M. Bryant and Karl W. Bryant. He attended PS129 Primary School, Secondary and Boys High School in Brooklyn. Al joined the Navy at age 17 and had a son, Paul L. Bryant (deceased). Shortly after Albert left the Navy, he enlisted into the United States Air Force. After his tour of duty in Korea and at the rank of Airmen (26 yrs old), Al met Georgia Lee (Tyson) Bryant and was married on August, 14th 1954. They had six children in their union, five boys; Rupert C. Bryant (Merri Bryant), Albert E. Bryant III (deceased), Preston L. Bryant (Sherri Bryant), Bryan K. Bryant and Michael K. Bryant (Sarina Bryant), and one girl, Edweena A. (Bryant) Gilmore, (Jake Gilmore),. His tours of duty took him and his family to different locations. There was Korea, Japan, Grand Forks-ND, West Hampton Beach-NY, and to his final destination, Denver, CO. He earned multiple accommodations and distinguished medals, including the Freedom medal, Meritorious metals, and Outstanding Achievement and Contribution recognition certificates. Al frequently attended Temporary Duty School (TDY) classes and studied Information Business Machines (IBM) programming. He completed his military career in 1971 at the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center, York Street, Denver, CO, at the rank of Master Sergeant and Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge. His career ended after earning a combined active military and civil service dedication of 34 years. His profession was a Computer Analyst, and he attained the comparable pay grade of Lt. Colonel at the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center, Lowry AFB. Al will be remembered as a father with high expectations of his children because he wanted the best for them and the generations to follow. He was a fun Grand and Great Grandfather. He taught the following to his children, nieces and nephews, grand and great-grandchildren; computer skills, cooking, outdoor living (pan for gold), little league sports, pool table, and darts, sewing, woodworking and crafting, fishing, classic blues, and jazz playing, guitar, photography, jewelry making, mechanic, tune-up and fix cars, coin collecting, hunting, most notably to spend time with family and friends. Al had a wonderful life and left us for a fantastic adventure ahead of him outside of his vessel on this earth (with his wife, Georgia). He was seen after his transition, looking 20 something, going to the front door, where he paused, smiled, tipped his hat, and winked, then left. He prays blessings on us all for a good life!
