Albert Raymond Schroeder, age 79, passed away on January 16, 2024.
Born and raised in Denver, Bert spent his entire life in Colorado. He graduated from Denver West High School in 1962 then went into the military where he served in reconnaissance and as a sharpshooter in the Army from 1963 until 1966. After being honorably discharged, he attended the University of Denver where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Economics.
Throughout Bert's career, he worked in various aspects of business. While at D.U., Bert met Andrea d'Elia, and they were eventually married in 1968. Together, they had three daughters, Melissa, Allison, and Megan, and many dogs too.
Besides his family, Bert loved sports. He was an avid Colorado sports fan and coached soccer for many years, but he was happiest on the golf course.
Albert is survived by his brother, Edward Barton Schroeder, Jr., his sisters, Allura Jones and Vicki Schroeder, his daughters, and six grandchildren, along with his beloved dog, Blondie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Cleo (Fortner) Schroeder, and his twin brothers, Carl and Ivan.
