Albert Costello "Junebug" Williams II, 69, born June 21, 1953, in Bridgeton, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2023 in Denver, Colorado. Al accepted Jesus from an early age and was a member of Union Baptist Temple. A standout athlete, he excelled in several sports including football, track and baseball before graduating from Bridgeton High School in 1972. After studying in Oklahoma at Langston College, Albert moved to Colorado to continue his studies while playing football at Mesa State University. It was in Denver where he met and eventually married Donna Walker in 1983. They had three children: Albert III, Shay, and Stephanie.
Al enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and driving on the open road. He also loved cooking, bowling, music, card games, and sporting events.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Naomi Scott and Albert Williams I, his sister Dora Jane Scott, stepfather Levi Lockamy, daughter in-law Tanya Williams, and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his wife Donna (Walker) Williams, son Albert Williams III, daughters Shay Cardenas and Stephanie Williams, son in-law Jose Cardenas, 5 grandchildren: Xavier, Kimora, Aleiya, Giovanni, and Tatiana, Aunts: Betty Corley, Annie Mae Dawson, Gladys Pierce, Naomi Luck, and Marjorie Scott, Uncle Art Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Al's viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 10 A.M. on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Service will follow at 11 A.M.
