Alitze Koitzsch Oborn 88 beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and neighbor passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born August 4, 1935 in Vorup, pr Randers, Denmark to the parents of Sigfred and Elna Koitzsch. She was the 5th child in the family. Alitze finished school at age 14 (7th grade), at the age 14 started working at sewing factory, bakery, music store and medical store.
Alitze joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 15. She was planning to immigrate to American but her immigration papers were delayed for a year and half. During that time she meet Neldon Oborn who was serving a mission for the church. She immigrated to America Sponsored by Clayton and Clara Hale of Pocatello, Idaho.
Alitze is survived by her husband Neldon Oborn and 5 children: John Oborn (Teressa), David Oborn (Kari), Charlotte Gravatt (Layne), Michael Oborn (Esmeralda) and Robert Oborn (Becky). She is grandmother of 13 Grandchildren and 32 Great grandchildren.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various callings. She was a excellent homemaker, cook, bread maker, knitting and sewing clothes for her family. Over 66 plus years Alitze was a loving wife and they very devoted to each other.
We would like to thank those in ICU, doctors, nurses and staff at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood for their excellent care.
