Allan V. Ardrey went to be with the Lord, and Nellie his faithful four-legged companion on January 11th, 2024. He was a loving husband to Freda, a father, grandfather and great grandfather.
In May of 1936, Allan was born to Rex and Loma Ardrey in a small farmhouse near Cheyenne Wells Colorado. Their family was blessed with his siblings Robert, Luella, and Laura. They called various small towns in Colorado home before eventually moving to Englewood Colorado, where Allan graduated from Englewood High School and met his future wife, Freda. Among his interests were chemistry, math, and electronics; some of which he even taught during his stint with the Colorado National Guard.
Allan and Freda were married in March of 1959, and they had two sons. They resided in Littleton Colorado before moving to their foothills home southwest of Denver. Allan was hired by the Glenn L. Martin Company in 1957 which eventually became Martin Marietta. He retired as Quality Assurance Director after a wonderful 35-year career.
Allan is survived by his wife Freda, sons Andrew and Arik, grandchildren Seth and Amanda, great grandchild Alice, brother Robert, and sisters Luella and Laura.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday February 10th, 2024, at Risen Lord Lutheran Church, 26812 Barkley Road, Conifer, CO. 80433. (Note: This is a shared facility with St Laurence Episcopal Church.)
