Alton L. Kleinhenn

Alton L. "Al" Kleinhenn, passed away in Littleton, Co. on Wednesday, December 28, 2005, after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Lansing, Mi on October 16, 1917. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Millie. Al is also survived by four children: Sallie (Hall) Hosler of Littleton, Co; Seka (Richard) Remsing of Dimondale, Mi; Donna (Don, deceased) of Anderson, S.C.; and Gary Alton (Linda) Kleinhenn of Ann Arbor Mi; eleven grandchildren. thirteen great grandchildren; brother Melvin and sister Loree of Anderson In. He was a WWll US Navy veteran and Petty Officer 3rd Class. After his service to his country, he became an entrepreneur with a family grocery store in Lansing for 15 years. He then joined Michigan State University as Assistant Registrar, and after nine years, moved on to become Registrar at Washtenaw Community College, and retired after 10 years there. In the 1980's, Al and Millie moved to Littleton Co. Viewing will be Tuesday, January 3, 2006, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood Co. A private family graveside service will be Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 11:00 AM, at Littleton Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Colorado Chapter, 455 Sherman St., Suite 500, Denver Co. 80203.
