Early on February 25th, Ana Maria Whicker became absent from her body to be present with Jesus.
Ana Maria was born on March 21st, 1942 to Leonilo and America Puzon. The daughter of a military father, the family moved about the country quite a bit. She lived longest in Miami, Florida, spending her teenage and early adult years there.
Her union with her first husband, James O'Brien, produced one son, Sean O'Brien. Ana Maria moved to Colorado in 1980, where she married Jay Whicker of Decatur, Illinois on December 22, 1999.
Ana Maria had many talents. She was a beautician, excelled at quilting, making purses and baked beautiful cakes. She truly enjoyed using these talents to make those around her happy. After her retirement at age 62, she enjoyed spending time at church with the quilters, and Young at Heart Group. She loved the mountains, hiking, camping and fishing.
Those who knew Ana Maria, will remember a precious soul, that loved making people feel special and loved. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Ana Maria was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Benny, Bobby, David and Jerry.
