Andre Vance Clair of Parker, Colorado passed away due to kidney failure brought on by complications of diabetes on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at home with family. Andre was 68 years old.
Andre was born at Fort Carson, CO. He graduated from Roy J. Wasson High School and attended Trinidad State College before transferring to Central Missouri State college where he graduated with a BA degree in Police Sciences. While at Central Missouri State he participated in Army ROTC and upon graduation, he joined the Army, where he was assigned to HHC 2D BN 30th Infantry as a 2nd Lieutenant in Germany.
He joined the Colorado Springs Police Department in 1981, where he protected and served the Colorado Springs community through 1992. Andre transitioned from the CSPD to the Colorado State Judiciary system in 1993. He began work as a Collection Investigator in Douglas County and transferred to the Boulder County IT Division. Andre transferred back to the Colorado State Judiciary system as a Computer Technician II where he helped maintain IT systems in both Douglas and Denver court houses until retirement. He attended Front Range Community College and received a degree in computer networking.
Andre was a HAM Radio operator and remained active up until death. He had many hobbies including music (guitar, keyboard, and drums), and was fascinated with motorcycles, planes and helicopters. Andre liked sports and was a super enthusiastic Broncos and Nugget fan.
Andre is survived by his spouse Shirley Davenport Clair; father Alford Clair, two sons, David and Anthony; his aunt Nettie Fabian, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his mother Areatha G Clair and his brother Armand Van Clair.
