Angelo Gurrini passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Berthoud, Colorado on Saturday, August 13, 2022 due to natural causes. He was born on August 28, 1925 in Dalzell, Illinois to Angelo and Erminia Guerrini who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his grandson Nathan (Heather) Gurrini of Berthoud CO, and granddaughter Erin (Justin) Lucero of Cummings, GA. and 5 great grandchildren. His wife Annie of 66 years preceded him in death. Angelo and Annie had one son, Ernest born in 1951 who also preceded him in death.
Angelo was a member of the United States Navy during World War II. After he joined the United States Army and Air Force and eventually ended his military career with the Air National Guard and was the oldest living Colorado Air National Guard member at the end of his life. He had an undeniable passion for this country and a commitment to serve our great nation. He was a barber, dental technician and ended his career as a security guard at Buckley Air Force Base when he retired at 86. He was an avid collector of many things but his true passion was his military patch collection, which totaled over 10,000 patches. Angelo was the "Mayor" of Boston Street where he was surrounded by loving neighbors that looked out for him daily. He enjoyed fishing, family genealogy, taking photos, helping his neighbors with projects and loved animals of all kinds.

The family is very grateful to Veteran Affairs, Hospice and caregivers who helped him stay at home which made his last days comfortable.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends and touched the lives of many.
