Anna Mae Kerstetter

Anna Mae Kerstetter, 95, of Golden, died Wednesday November 1, 2023. She was born to the late William and Mary Vondracek on August 13, 1928, at home in the Village of Horseheads, New York. She was married to the late Gail Kerstetter in 1951. They followed road construction for many years before settling on Golden.

She graduated from Horseheads High School in 1946. She worked various jobs until she became a mom.

She was active with Square Dancing and Round Dancing for many years. Once Gail retired, they spent many months traveling via a 5th wheel RV. They traveled much of the United States and had a lot of adventures. She loved to crochet and spent many hours doing her "numbers" - yep, the Sudoku puzzles. During the Spring and Summer months she spent her days working in her small garden and watching the sunsets from her patio chair.

She is survived by one daughter, Elaine. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Vondracek, and brothers James and Edward Vondracek and by her husband Gail.

A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 1 P.M. on November 21, 2023. She will later be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetary with her husband Gail.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Anna Mae's name to Collier Hospice on the Lutheran Hospital campus. The address is 3210 Lutheran Pkwy, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033.
