Elizabeth Anne Jones of Thornton, CO, passed away on June 15th, 2022. Anne was born on November 6, 1935 in Meadville, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer and Frances Sallee. She graduated from Meadville High School in 1935 with honors.
Elizabeth (Anne) was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Frances Sallee, her husband, Carol Dean and her son, Ronald and brother, Max. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Lydia), Douglas (Denice), Rodney, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Anne married Carol Dean Jones on December 18, 1954, a union that lasted 62 years. To this union were born four sons, Ronald, Michael, Douglas and Rodney.
Anne was an active member of Thornton's Church of Christ.
Anne loved the outdoors, hiking, bicycling, swimming and spending time with the boys. There are the things she really missed when she started having trouble with her knees but she soon took to sewing, quilting and cooking.
Even though Anne had trouble with her knees, her true love for sewing blossomed after her knees healed and she could get around better. One summer, Anne made three wedding dresses plus flower girl, mother of the groom and bridesmaid dresses.
In her later years, she spent a lot of time cooking and baking with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
