Annie was born as Annie Louise Sheffield in San Antonio Texas to the Parents of Perry Clyde Sheffield and Velma (Kendrick) Sheffield; both whom preceded her in death. She was the oldest of five children; preceded in death by two brothers; Vernon and Perry; and survived by two sisters. She was baptized at an early age at Zion Star Baptist Church, where the family attended church regularly, and she professed her love for the Lord. Although she did not attend church on a regular basis in her later years, she prayed daily, loved unconditionally, and lived by God's Holy word. She was educated in the San Antonio Public school system. Following high school she married Richard Alvin Harvey Sr. and relocated to Denver Colorado in 1960, to join him while stationed at the Lowry Air Force Base. Annie was the mother of three children of which the youngest son; Timothy preceded her in death.

Annie affectingly and preferably referred to as Ms. Ann had a long standing and successful career in the Central Service departments at St Joseph hospital; and most recent children's hospital. When the hospital convereted to a new and more modern sterile processing system; many employees were unable to pass the course. She became the oldest member of the team to take the Sterile Processing certification program, and danced her way through it with honors. She became the poster lady for the National Certification program; when they used her photo to advertise and encourage others to take the course. Ann loved her job as well as her co-workers. They looked forward to her coming into the workplace on Fridays performing the "Thank God its Friday dance" (TGIF). She was a classy and sassy, lady who loved matching her clothing from head to toe. Her two sisters were her best friends; referred to others as "the sisters". They took care of one another and shared the same friends to make sure that they were together on special occasions. She enjoyed cooking and feeding people in general. Dancing and cooking, and binge watching her favorite television crime shows were her favorite pastimes. She especially enjoyed dancing with her grandkids. Although she was not a visitor, she always enjoyed entertaining, and welcomed guest into her home where there was always music and laughter in the house... Even though she didn't fully understand the game of football, she was the biggest and loudest Bronco fan in the house; dancing after each touchdown. Being the oldest in the family following the death of her mother, she became the Queen matriarch of the family; and her house served as the family headquarters. Ann would prepare large lavish and eloquent spreads for Sunday and Holiday dinners for the family, and whomever would stop by. No matter when or what she was cooking there was always enough for one or two more. If you could not make it to the family dinner or the occasion she would make sure that you received a plate. A granddaughter once shared with her that a co-worker smelled her lunch leftovers from the family Thanksgiving meal and enjoyed the smell. Ann replied; take him a plate for lunch tomorrow. She was a strong willed happy and joyful person with a no-nonsense attitude; and everyone was welcomed into her home regardless. She assisted in raising her grand girls, and was always there for all of the family with her tough love, opinions, and decisions. She was mom and grandma to many of her children's friends and their children, and even purchased their children Christmas presents; because she wanted them to know that they mattered to her. When she spoke everybody listened or there would be consequences.

Within the last two years Ann became ill and developed health conditions which she was not able to recover from. After hospitalization and a brief stay at the AVIVA Rehabilitation center, she was able to go back home where she had resided for over fifty-years. She gave her last orders, and gave the girls their last grandma laugh. She rested peacefully until the early morning of June 06, 2021, when the Lord lifted her burdens, set her free, and gave her amazing grace, with her granddaughters by her bedside.

She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing: Son, Richard Alvin Harvey Jr., daughter, Denise Harvey (Helen). Ann was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Keyonna (John), Antwan (Jordan), Devon (Linda), Richard Jr.,Toshonna, Ebonie, Keisha and Ieshia. There are 9 great grandchildren; Britton, Az'Xerryia, Az'Urel, JoSaun, D'Aja, Ashleigh, Idris, Onnaven and Tatyanna, and one great-great grandchild, Av'yonce. Two sisters; Marie Woods and Evelyn McGregor, all of Colorado. She leaves one surviving aunt; Ida Mae Wilbanks, of Los Angeles California; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and, her special long-time friends, Sarah, Rose, Nita, and Ms. Pat. All of whom will miss her dearly.
