Anthony Didamo

Anthony "Tony" Didamo, was born on November 18, 1936 in Gibbstown, NJ to Nicola and Grazia Didamo. He grew up and received his elementary and high school education in Paulsboro, NJ. He joined the Air Force in 1954 and served until 1959.

After serving in the Air Force, Tony worked as an auto mechanic and a dispatcher for the Greenwich, NJ Police Dept. Tony was united in marriage at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Golden, CO on October 28, 1972 to Alice King, of Golden, CO. He attended the Colorado School of Trades, graduating as a gunsmith in 1971. From 1972 until 2000 he owned and operated, with his wife Alice, the Foothills Shooting Center in Lakewood, CO. Due to ill health, Tony retired in 2000 and moved to Brush, CO.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fly fishing , fly tying and reading. Tony was a member of St. Mary's Church, in Brush, CO. He enjoyed the company of his fly tying friends group and hunting buddies. He also enjoyed the company of his pets and his godchildren, nieces and nephews.

Tony passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, CO.

Tony is survived by his wife, Alice, of Brush; sisters Anita Dresdow, Pauline Koch and Mary Lou (Richard) Marcucci; brothers-in-law, Noel (Tommie) King, Alvin (Caroline) King, Frank (Jewel) King and Larry (Karen) King; god children, Matt and Lucy Hartmeister; Tony was an uncle and great-great uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Carl and Pearl King and brothers-in-law, Gene Koch and Dan Dresdow.

Memorial Rosary will be recited Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 7:30PM and Memorial Mass will be said Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 10:00AM both at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Brush, CO, with a reception to follow. Inurnment with Military Honors will be Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 2:30PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, (Staging Area "B") in Denver, CO.
