Anthony Arthur Tafoya

December 28, 1987 — May 28, 2018

Anthony was born to Albert and Cindy Tafoya on December 28, 1987 at Saint Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colorado and was the youngest of 5 children.

He was a son, grandson and a brother. He was an Uncle to 8 nephews and nieces. He was a very proud person, and always showed his pride in everything he did.

When we were children, he loved to go on very long car rides with our father and his older brother AJ. They learned a lot about the roads in and around Denver. They knew the area like the backs of their hands.

When Anthony turned 8 years old, his father gave him his 1st car, a 1966 Impala. After that, there was no stopping him. It was, is, his pride and joy. Once when he was in grade school, he even drove it to school. It is still with us and always will be.

Anthony loved to ride around Denver and the surrounding mountains. In fact, the mountains was his favorite place to be, fishing, gold panning, even just walking through the foothills. I believe he felt a sort of freedom there.

He had a special place in his heart for animals. We had so many dogs over the years. Our first dog was Buster, a red nose Doberman. In fact, my mother has his last 2 dogs with her still, Treasure and Copper.

Anthony's favorite food was Mexican food, especially Mexican hamburgers, and if it wasn't prepared right he would let you know. But he was also a very funny person. And when he joked around it was so genuine, you had to laugh with him. You just couldn't help it.

He brought so much love and joy when he walked in the room. It seemed like everything and everyone was willed with a little more life. He just had that affect on everything around him. I think he loved everyone in his own special way.

So, in loving memory, my dear baby brother, you will always be missed and the pain of losing you is almost unbearable. You mean so much to us and the time we had you here with us, will last forever in my heart. You made me laugh, and smile, and your brought happiness into my life.

And even though you are not on this earth with us, you will be in our hearts forever. You are truly unforgettable. And all though I have the most wonderful memories. I will cherish the fact that for 30 years you were my baby brother. I love you and I always will. You will live in my heart forever.
