Antonino E."Tony" Giardina

January 21, 1933 — January 20, 2019

Antonino E. "Tony" Giardina, 85, of Aurora, passed away January 20, 2019, after a year-long battle with Leukemia.

He was born February 21, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Attilio and Anna (Russo) Giardina. On June 11, 1954 he married Darlene Webster, in Denver, Colorado.

Tony honorably served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1972. He was a lifetime member of the Aurora Elks Lodge.

He enjoyed visiting with friends at the Italian Club and his breakfast buddies at McDonald's and Burger King, going golfing and playing Texas Hold 'Em.

Tony is survived by five children, Anthony (Carrie Clein) Giardina, Rick (Patti) Giardina, Michael (Linda Lea) Giardina, Linda Gudka, John Giardina; ten grandchildren, Lindsay Giardina, A.J. (Melissa) Giardina, Nick Giardina, Dan (Aileen) Giardina, Nicole (Josh) Fluty, Philip Giardina, Nathan (Rebecca) Giardina, Charlie Gudka, Chris Gudka, and Melyshea (Shane) Lueker; eleven great-grandchildren, Sadie Giardina, Sydney Giardina, Vincent Giardina, Dominic Giardina, Jackson Fluty, Ella Fluty, Greyson Giardina, Peyton Giardina, Killian Giardina, Adalynn Lueker and Lyllie Lueker.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Darlene Giardina; parents, Attilio and Anna Giardina; son-in-law, C.W. Gudka; twin sister, Emily and two sisters, Eleanor and Joan.
