Arlene was born in Carroll, NE on May 28, 1928, to Michael and Ella (Dorman) Draghu. She graduated from Wayne High School. Arlene owned and operated Arlene's Beauty Shop in Wayne, NE from 1965 – 2001. While still operating Arlene's Beauty Shop, Arlene embarked upon her 2nd career as a CNA from 1987 through 2005 and yet a 3rd career as a Sales Associate at Walmart from 2006 - 2013.
To be closer to her two daughters and grandchildren, Arlene relocated from Wayne, NE to Denver, CO in 2001 and eventually retired in April 2013 at the age of 84.
Arlene is survived by her daughters, Nancy Watteyne (Jake Anthony) of Aliso Viejo, CA and Barbra Smith (Jeff Moscicki) of Magnolia, TX; 3 grandchildren, Heather Kaiser (Richard) of San Antonio TX, Crystal Smith, of Colorado Springs, CO and Melissa Smith of Orange, TX ; and 7 great-grandchildren. Arlene is also survived by sisters-in-law, Elaine Draghu and Marcille Draghu of Wayne, NE.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Ella; and two brothers, Marvin Draghu in 2013 and Donald Draghu in 2020.
She passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Littleton, Colorado.
