Arnold "Jock" Jokinen, 72, of Brighton passed away peacefully on December 24, 2007.
He was born February 20, 1935 in Wareham MA. Arnold spent 20 years serving his country in the US Air Force. He has served in various locations around the world including Vietnam. After the service he worked in San Diego Social Services and got his Associate degree in Criminology. Then he came to Colorado to be around his three brothers – Ed, Rudy and Richard. He loved (hated) golf, fishing and camping. Jock enjoyed our trips to Lake Powell with our friends and family. He was a pretty good bowler to. One thing he really loved to do was joke around. He really never met a stranger. The last part of his working career was spent in Administrative and Inventory control. He worked for Colorado Barricade for about 16 years. The lucky duck retired three times. How did he do that? The last time he retired he traveled a little and played golf. The only thing he didn't get to do was go on a cruise.
Jock is survived by his wife, Mary of 24 years, daughters, Jeannie, Vicky, Sherry (Ron), and Lisa. Son – Matthew. Step children – Stott, Angie ,Sam ,John ,Jim and Theresa. Grandchildren, Harold ,Ronda ,Lisa ,Kristen ,Jason ,Trina ,Danny ,Steven ,Megan, Gary, Cara, April, Brandon, Danny, David, Rachel, Matthew, Tina, Conrad, Chasity and Duke He also had seven great-grandchildren.
