Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Arthur O. Bush graduated second in his class with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University. Art enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served proudly in Guam until WWII ended. Art moved to Denver in 1946 where he began a new career working for his uncles in the family business which he soon purchased. Arts father and mother, Hyman and Rolla Bush, and his sister Mildred, soon joined him in Denver. Arthur was married to Silvia Tessadri Bush from 1947-1985. Art was active in his industry as a member of the Watch Material Distributors Association and the American Jewelry Distributors Association of America. He served on the Board of Directors and as President of the WMJDA (1967/1968) and was honored as Man of The Year of the AJDA in 1997. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed water-skiing, tennis, golf, snow skiing and especially dancing with his beloved wife Louise Beach Bush. Art and Louise were active in the Lakewood Elks Lodge # 1777. Arts sister, Mildred Silver, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Louise Bush of San Marino Retirement Community in Westminster, Co., son Rudy A. Bush of Lakewood Co., daughter Karen Bush Gertz, her husband Paul and grand daughter Dayle A. Duran of Carbondale Co., stepsons Charles W. Beach, Harold N.Beach and their wives respectively Darleen and Gail, step grandchildren Kathy, Amy, Charles III, Lauren, Christina and six great step-grandchildren. He touched so many lives and he will be missed. Celebration of life to be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 10 A.M. the San Marinos Retirement Community 5000 W. 75th Ave., Westminster, CO.
