Atan Edgar was born on November 8, 1961 on the island of Chuuk located in the pacific region of Micronesia. Raised by his parents Tas Edgar and Yosko Songeni on the mountains of Mwan Village he was the eighth child out of ten. As a young man he enjoyed being a part of his local church youth group. It was there he would meet the love of his life Kasinta Salle in 1986. Together they would migrate to Guam to begin a new chapter in their lives together. Living in Guam for over 30 years they had built a life together with 8 children. They watched their children grow and move onto their own lives. Some of them moving to the mainland US as well. In 2021 after a devastating loss of his wife he decided to be closer to his children. He moved to Colorado to be with a majority of his children and his grandchildren until his passing. Atan valued his faith in God and love of family till his last days on earth. He will be missed by all of his family.
