Barbara Ann Peterson, a beloved soul, was born on a warm Thursday, July 13, 1933, in the charming town of Strawberry Point, Iowa. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family.

Barbara shared an extraordinary bond with her husband and the apple of her eye, William "Bill" Peterson. Their love was a beautiful testament to the deep connection they had throughout their lives together. They were blessed with wonderful children, William Frank Peterson and Rebecca Lynn Hickman, who carried forward the warmth and kindness that Barbara embodied.

In 1970, Barbara and her family embarked on a new chapter, moving to the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado. Here, she found solace in nature's beauty, spending countless hours fishing and camping, and embracing the majestic mountains that surrounded her. Yet, her greatest treasures in life were her grandson, Ronald William Hickman, Jr., and her cherished great-granddaughter, Emerson Lynn Hickman. The bond they shared was truly special, filled with love and cherished moments that will forever remain in their hearts.

Barbara dedicated her professional life to her role as a Secretary at Trans America Insurance, where her hard work and dedication shone brightly. Upon retirement, she embraced her days with a heart full of joy, surrounded by family and friends, filling each day with laughter and warmth. Those who knew Barbara admired her love for butterflies, a symbol of her vibrant spirit. Now, we find comfort knowing that she is soaring with the butterflies in the skies above.
