Barbara Boatner, 68 went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Sunday September 17, 2023.
Barbara was born on August 7, 1955 to Helen Callins and James Reed in Mangum Oklahoma. She graduated from East High School in Denver, CO in 1974. Barbara had her first daughter Leslie in 1972 and her son in 1974. She married Ted Baskerville and to that union her last child Tameka was born in 1976.
Barbara took a job with Mountain Bell phone company until she moved to California in 1980 at which time, she accepted a job working for the IRS.
Barbara moved her family back to Denver in 1984 and started working at Budget rent a car which she stayed employed there for over 20 years.
In 1986 Barbara married her oldest daughter and sons father Earl Boatner.
Barbara decided to change her career path and became a Bank Teller until her retirement.
Barbara loved to spend her time with family, cooking, running her mom around town and hanging out with her grandkids. Barbara took on the brunt of the cooking for holiday meals or whatever gathering the family had.
She was an active member of Loving Saints Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Kraig Burleson and Reverend Karen Cunningham.
Barbara had a special gift of making anyone feel welcomed when they came around her. She will truly be missed.

Barbara is survived by her mother Helen Biggers, daughters Leslie Boatner and Tameka (Mo) Harris. 3 sisters Carla, Charlene, and Debbie. 2 brothers Mickey and Richard Carl. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and her stepmother Peggy Reed which they had an unbreakable bond. And a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends to cherish her memory.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her beloved Son Rodric Boatner, James Reed (Dad) JD Callins (Stepdad), Carl Biggers (stepdad), and Ricky Callins (Brother).
Repast will follow immediately after the service.
