Barbara Christensen, 73, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on October 14, 2023.
She was born in Montclair, New Jersey, raised in Greenbrook New Jersey, and graduated from Dunellen high school.
In 1973, she married her husband, John. They both worked for New Jersey Bell, and in 1975 they transferred to Wyoming to work at Mountain Bell. They relocated to Aurora, Colorado in 1978 where she lived for the past 45 years.
Barbara was a devoted mother and grandmother and had a deep Christian faith. She volunteered for years with her church, as well as with the American Red Cross.
Growing up in New Jersey, Barbara spent a lot of time at the Jersey Shore, where she grew to love the beach- a love that she passed down to her daughters.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband John and her parents Allen and Estelle. She is survived by her daughters Katherine and Melissa, grandsons Steven and Wesley, and siblings Joan and Robert.

Her service will be held at Newcomer Funeral home, West Metro Chapel at 901 S. Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226 on Monday, October 30th at 11am. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
