Barbara E. Umberger

Born in Sparrows Point, MD, Baltimore County to Bradley H. Allen and Barbara Ellen Allen (deceased), Barbara married Larry Umberger August 12, 1945. She is survived by her eight children: Dianne Dorrance, James Umberger, Kenneth (Jake) Umberger, William Umberger, and John Umberger of Arvada, CO, and Bradly Umberger of Ft. Lupton, CO, Virginia Lozon of Sarasota, FL, Kathryn Baldwin of Woodburn, OR; 13 grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

J. Edgar Hoover recuited Barbara while in high school to work for the FBI where she learned finger printing. After moving to Colorado, Barbara worked for the Jefferson County Sheriffs department for 23 years and retired in 1989. She moved to Florida and worked for the Bradenton Sheriffs Department after her retirement. Barbara was a trivia expert and her favorite television show was Jeopardy.
