Benino Roybal

Benino Roybal, 89, of Denver, CO passed away Thursday August 30, 2018 in the comfort of his beloved Monroe Street home. Benino was born to the late Manuel and Sofia Roybal in Las Vegas, NM on July 29, 1929. Benino married his wife of 67 years, Gomicinda Roybal, in 1951. Benino and Gomicinda had 6 children together: Jim (Mary), Ron (Christina), Jack, Rick (Lori), Janette (Derrick), and LuLu. The family continued to grow to include 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many adopted kids, grandkids and more. 

Benino was a hardworking man who after 32 years of government service continued to provide for his family until he retired from Denver International Airport in 2000. Benino is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Sofia, his siblings Rita, Robert, Jr. and Rose and his beloved son Jack. 

A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (901 S. Sheridan Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80226) from 4:00–7:00 PM on Wednesday September 5th. A rosary will follow the viewing at the same location at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church (2645 48th Ave. Denver, CO 80216) on Friday September 7th at 10:00 AM followed by a burial at Crown Hill Cemetery (7777 W 29th Ave. Wheatridge, CO 80033). A reception to follow the burial will be held at Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Event Center at (12 Lakeside Ln. Suite #200 Denver, CO 80212).
