Benny Ray Price passed away on September 23, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born on January 29, 1943, as the youngest of four to Wesley and Pauline Price in El Centro, CA. On February 8, 1964, Ben married Joyce Arlene Donovan. The couple would go on to have a son, Thomas, and a daughter, Elise. Ben worked at the Campbell’s Soup plant in Modesto, CA as a forklift driver and then as a quality control inspector in the frozen foods department for roughly 30 years. After retiring from Campbell’s, he continued working delivering auto parts for a couple of small local businesses.
Ben loved watching TV, especially old westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. He also enjoyed dove, pheasant, and squirrel hunting, as well as fishing for bass and crappie. Besides teaching his own children to hunt and fish, he also taught these skills to many of their friends.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce, his siblings Billy, Betty, and Bobby, his nephew Rick Graham, and his niece Vicki Diaz. He is survived by his son Thomas (Vicki) of Aurora, CO, daughter Elise Sitton (Jarrad) of Ceres, CA, and grandsons Russell Price of Aurora, CO, and Austin Sitton of Richfield, ID, as well as various nieces and nephews. He was buried on October 16, 2024, at Horse Creek Cemetery in Ramah, CO.
