Bettie Louise Fisher, 91, passed away on Tuesday, March 26th 2019 at 3:00 am MST at Julia Temple Health Care Center in Englewood, Colorado.
Bettie was born August 15, 1927 in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from West High School in Denver, Colorado in 1945 and married Hollis Dean Fisher, Jr. that same year. Bettie served most of her career as a Data Entry Clerk specialist for the State of Colorado Revenue Department and later in life held the same position at Honeywell Test Instruments Division in Littleton Colorado. Through her life she was able to enjoy traveling and had visited almost the entire USA.
Bettie was preceded in death by her grandson, Stephen Zellers, and is survived by her daughter, Connie Shammas (Robert), and grandchildren, Toby Zellers (Carole) and Kathy Zellers, and numerous siblings.
Bettie was a very talented creative artist. She was passionate in multiple media disciplines including, scratch board, pastels, water colors and more. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and was an incredible seamstress. Bettie loved animals and in addition to caring for many of her own pets, was known to family and friends as "the cat lady" for her care and feeding of several neighborhood strays that found comfort in the window wells and patio of her home in Denver.
Bettie was loved by all and touched the heart and soul of everyone that came to know her. She will be greatly missed and cherished.
