passed away peacefully January 5, 2011, at her home at the age of 77. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter " Wally" , her loving parents, John and Marie Neudeck, her brother Waldemar Neudeck, and grandson, Russell E. Atwell. She is survived by her children, Brian (Meara), Alan (Rita), Barbara (Tony) Atwell, Ann Marie (Chuck) Smith, and Julie Buck. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren: Brian Jr. (Kristen) and Michael Buck, Benjamin Hekman, J.T. and Mitchell Gilchrist, John (Jessica) and Kristen Buck, Rebekah and Andrew Atwell, Stephanie (David) Hunn, Kevyn Smith, Emily Petersen and Ryan Smith; and six great grandchildren: Logan and Clayton Walter Buck, Bryce and Trevor Hunn, Jasmine Smith, and Isabella Gilchrist. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Marianne Jacobs and Lois (Paul) Gustavson, and many close and dear friends as well as extended family. Betty was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 31, 1933. After graduation from St. Michaels Grammar School, she attended West Division High School. After graduation from high school, she joined the U.S. Air Force. Her assignments carried her to 5 different locations. While stationed in Arizona she met her future husband, Wally. They enjoyed 52 years of wedded bliss before his death in 2004. Betty served proudly in both the U.S. Air Force and the Colorado Air National Guard. After 30 years of federal civil service, she retired in June, 1992. Betty and Wally traveled extensively; they visited all 50 states, Australia, Germany, Austria, Mexico, the Caribbean, and enjoyed a Panama Canal cruise for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Betty also visited Italy, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. A memorial visitation will be held at Newcomer, East Metro Chapel, Thursday, January 13, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The following day there will be a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m., St. Pius X Church, 13670 E. 13th Pl., Aurora, followed by inurnment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, at Betty's request, donations to be made to the St. Michaels Alumni Association, 1445 N 24th St., Milwaukee, WI 53205. Please include a note stating "In Memory of Betty (Neudeck) Buck, '47." Condolences may be sent to: Buck Family, 531 Ursula St., Aurora, CO 80011.
