Carroll Driver Wine
July 1933 – April 2019

Carroll grew up on a family farm near Grottoes, VA, attending high school in nearby Fishersville. Shortly after graduating he was drafted into the US Army and spent two years driving ambulance in central Colorado. Following his discharge from the Army, he remained in Colorado and in April 1956 married the love of his life, Betty Schock, and a few years later, they built their dream home in Englewood where they raised three children. Carroll became a partner, and eventually a full owner of Form & Pour Co., Inc., a concrete construction company; he was a guy who was good with tools and working with his hands; he was often heard to say, "I'm pretty sure I can fix that." As a side job he enjoyed cutting and selling firewood and this became his main hobby in retirement. The most important part of this hobby was that it allowed him to be in his favorite place: the mountains. Carroll and Betty loved camping and hiking in the Colorado Rockies and were known to take friends and family with them on many occasions. Carroll was very active in his church and was quite passionate about his beliefs. He is survived by 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a brother and his family.

Betty Ann (Schock) Wine
October 1931 – January 2019

Betty grew up on a farm near Cleveland, ND, attended Sheyenne River Academy in Harvey, ND followed by Union College in Lincoln, NE, receiving her bachelor's degree in nursing. She enjoyed working as an R.N. at Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver, CO for a few years, and in April 1956 she married Carroll Wine. When their two sons and daughter joined them, she made a choice to leave her career and stay home to raise her children. Betty was very active in her church and especially enjoyed working with the youth, teaching life skills in a group called Pathfinders. Over the years she also worked at Mile High Academy in many roles, most recently as Librarian. Betty was very devoted to working with young people of all ages; her other passions and hobbies included camping, gardening, doll-making, ceramics and sewing. She is survived by 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a sister, 2 brothers and their families.

A joint memorial service for Carroll and Betty will be held at 2:00 pm on June 28, 2019 at the Littleton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 7400 S. Windermere, Littleton, CO 80120.
