Betty Arlene Croy, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2021.
She was born in La Harpe, Kansas to Archie and Mary Ellen Cooper. Betty was the 6th of 7 children.
Betty had a lifelong love for music. When she was 9 years old, she purchased her first piano, teaching herself to play by ear.
Later, she learned to read music and eventually taught piano and wrote her own music.
She met and married the love of her life, John Wesley Croy.
Together, they built a life in Colorado, raising 4 children.
While John built a successful business, Betty was the hearth and the home.
They traveled throughout the United States doing God's work through music evangelism.
They enjoyed 74 years together before he passed in 2019.
Betty loved to work with her hands, whether it was knitting, sewing or making the best apple pie.
In her later years, she worked on large puzzles, earning her the name "Puzzle Queen".
She was the family's matriarch and her goal in life was to make sure that all of her family knew the Lord and would eventually meet her in Heaven.
Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her son, John Wesley II; her parents; and all of her siblings.
She is survived by her children, Judith Arlene, James Commodore, Jeffrey Allen, and their spouses; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
