Beverly J. Henkelman

Beverly Jean Henkelman passed away on Jan. 31, 2021, in Lakewood, CO. She was 88.

Beverly was born January 22, 1933, in Manilla, IA, to Berniece and Louis Finnegan. She attended school in Manilla where she graduated high school.

She married James Louis Henkelman on August 27, 1952. They later moved to Napa, CA. James passed away in 1974.

Beverly worked at nursing homes in Napa for many years, than became employed at the California Veterans Home in Yountville, where she worked for several years, retiring from there in 1994. She moved to Aurora, CO, the same year.

Beverly is survived by her children, Thomas of Omaha, NE; Theresa of Greeley, CO; Kathy Calderon of Napa, CA; Kevin of Manning, IA; and Paul of Michigan; her brother, Charles Finnegan of Iowa; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. Beverly's son, Bernard, predeceased her in 2007.

Private services will be held. At the request the deceased, donations may be made to the Denver Rescue Mission, Boys Town in Omaha, NE, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
