On September 4, 2020, William Bradley Carson, loving husband and father of two boys, passed away at the age of 59.
Brad was born on March 18, 1961 in Miami, Florida to J. Edwin Carson III and Jean Bradley Carson. He received his Bachelor's degree from Gardner Webb University, NC, and his Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary. Brad was ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and served as an assistant pastor at Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Littleton. He became a licensed professional counselor and worked as a therapist for over 15 years. He changed his career path and then sold medical equipment and services for 20 years. On August 20, 1994 he married Melissa Griffin and they raised two sons, Ben, age 21, and Jack, age 17.
As a child in Miami, Brad competed on his local swim team. He taught himself to play guitar and violin and built several musical instruments. He loved to explore, and he was a prolific collector. Brad could repair nearly anything and enjoyed do-it-yourself projects. He rebuilt several cars and for the last several years he had been working on modifications to a 1975 MG convertible.
Brad was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed teaching his boys to ski, fish, marksmanship, and how to repair things around the house. He loved his newly adopted dogs, Ranger and Scout, and walked them nearly every day.
Brad was known for his generous and compassionate spirit, his readiness to help others, a very strong work ethic, and a great sense of humor.
Brad was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Bradley Carson, and father-in-law Ed Griffin. He is survived by his wife Melissa, his two sons, Ben and Jack, his older brothers Ed (Kelly) and Worth (Sandy), 4 nephews and two nieces.
