Brad Douglas James of Denver, Colorado died on Monday, May 31st, 2010 at his home in Denver.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 20, 1968 to John Boyd and Barbara James. Brad attended attended George Washington High School, graduated from Manual High School in 1986 and found himself at Adams State College a year later.
Brad sought out on his life's adventures. Traveling cross country, he found a home in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he found passion in the Hospitality Industry. He gained many friends and stories during his stay in the Twin Cities, many of which he told heartfelt tales of in later years.
Brad returned to Denver in 1996. Staying in the Hospitality Industry, he tended bar for a while before he became the first manager at the College Inn for the B.U.F.F. Brothers Restaurant Group. He would spend the following 11 years with the B.U.F.F. Brothers as their "Supreme Leader".
Brad often referred to himself as a social butterfly and was always the life of the party. He loved to make those around him happy and was known for his animated story-telling and crazy antics. In 1999, Brad adopted his Greyhound, Tuaca. Tuaca very quickly became Brad's best friend and loyal companion.
Brad loved to work hard, and play harder. Brad was an avid poker player taking many trips to Las Vegas to practice his skills. In addition to Las Vegas, Brad enjoyed road trips on his motorcycle, when it wasn't in pieces on his garage floor. Brad was a kind and loving man, whose generosity was outweighed only by his enormous heart. From his baby blues to his distinguishing grays, Brad was adored by all who knew him.
Brad will be missed by all that loved him, but lives on in the legacy he left behind. Brad was preceded in death by parents John Boyd and Barbara James and his beloved dog, Tuaca. Brad is survived by brother Bret A. James and many loving friends. Formal services are to be held on June 26th, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
