Bradley Barlow

August 5, 1961 — March 22, 2023

Brad Barlow, 61, of Aurora, CO, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023, after dealing with health issues.

Brad was born in Denver, CO on August 5,1961 to Donald and Sandra Barlow. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979 and then attended Colorado Northwestern Community College, where he studied Aviation Mechanics, earning three Associate degrees.

After college, Brad worked for Bancroft Water & Sewer, and in the mid-1990s, he started his career with United Airlines, working for them until 2011. He began his work at United on the baggage ramp and through promotions was Supervisor in Ramp & Baggage upon his departure.

In 1997, Brad met Terry Youngs, and they married on September 1, 2001. He happily gained two daughters, and over time became a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, who lovingly named him Papa.

Throughout Brad's life, he was an avid fisherman and loved to go crawfishing. He was the "Barbecue King," and all get togethers found him sitting on his stool in front of the grill. He enjoyed camping, gardening, rock and fossil collecting, and was an aircraft buff who could see a plane flying over and identify the actual aircraft. When traveling in and outside Colorado, one of Brad's favorite pastimes was visiting local history museums. He had an in-depth knowledge of much of Colorado's history.

Brad was a person who loved people, and all who met him became his friend. He had an unmatched sense of humor and a quick wit. He deeply loved his family and friends more than anything, loved laughing and sharing time with them.

Brad was predeceased by his mother, Sandra Barlow, his father, Donald Barlow, and his brother, Bart Barlow. He is survived by his wife, Terry Barlow; daughters, Janae Malott and Sarah Hultquist; sister, Lana Maes and brother-in-law Vincent Maes; sister-in-law, Sandy Barlow; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Russ and Lori Elliott; brother-in-law Raym Youngs; grandchildren, Teja Youngs Henderson, Tierah Johnson, Caleb Hultquist, Lucas Hultquist, Anika Hultquist, and Kalee Hultquist; nephews Shaun Barlow, Taylor Maes, Sam Maes, and Connor Maes; and was blessed with extended family and friends.
Brad will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
