Brian was the second of three sons born to Doug & Sally Gowler in Flint, Michigan. He lived in Michigan, Illinois, and Colorado while growing up.
He married Margie in June 1981. His daughter, Michelle, was born in 1986, and his son, Travis, was born in 1990. After his divorce, he briefly lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico before moving back to Colorado.
He loved baseball and tried to visit as many ballparks as possible. He loved running and ran several races in his younger days. He loved to laugh and goof off. He was extremely generous with his time and money. He won an award at his work for the most volunteer hours in a year. He volunteered with Team Rubicon, St. Jude Children's Hospital, local homeless shelters, and frequently packed medical supplies to be sent overseas. Everyone who met him loved him and loved how joyful and funny he was.
He is preceded in death by his father, Doug Gowler. He is survived by his mother, Sally Gowler; brothers Jeff (Kathy) and Mark (Lori); daughter Michelle (Steve), grandchildren Jack, Kate, Elijah, and #4, son Travis; many nieces and nephews and kids and many friends and loved ones.
