Byron Joseph Anson, age 62 of Aurora CO, died Thursday, August 29, 2019, at his home. Funeral services will be held on September 6th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Aurora, CO. Viewing will be available at Newcomer Funeral Home in Aurora, CO from 6-8 PM on September 5th, 2019 and at the church on September 6th from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.
Byron was born on July 27, 1957, to Wilbur Joseph Anson and Betty Luvida Anson in Boulder Colorado. Byron was the second of 5 children born to Wilbur and Betty; his sister Caron Nannie preceded him in birth and his brothers John, Bruce, and David followed. The family lived in Boulder for much of Byron's early life, along with time spent with his grandparents in La Grande, OR on the Anson family farm.
Byron and Jayne Feik raised 4 children, Iris Kaye, Paul Joseph, Tiffani Ruth and Jeffrey Byron in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Colorado. Byron met his soulmate, Christine Marie Anson in July of 2009. They married on July 24th, 2010 in Estes Park, Colorado. Byron became a much-loved stepfather to his daughter, Naomi Alori. Byron was a maverick, master of all trades, a mechanical engineer, woodworker, beekeeper, gardener, craftsman, pilot, world traveler and romantic at heart.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Marie, daughters Iris, Tiffani (and Ben Peterson), and Naomi, son Jeff (and Carrie), father Wilbur, siblings Caron, John and David as well as grandchildren Parker Anson, Audrey and Ruby Peterson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Byron was preceded in death by his mother, Betty, his brother Bruce and his son Paul.
