Callie M. Merrill

Our Beautiful, Funny Girl, Callie Maclean Merrill, went to Heaven on April 28,2022, after an 8 year battle with seizure disorder and mental illness. Callie, who turned 24 on April 5 (1998), was a complete Gift to us! She even continued to give, after her death, with her tissue donations to help others live. Our Girl loved her brother and us, and was in love with every bird, rabbit, kitten and puppy that she met along the way. Her favorite places to be on this Earth were on the ski hill, in the ocean, on a surfboard, and in the sky, traveling to exciting far away places. She spent the last eight years longing to do all of these things again and to be a normal teenager doing normal teenager things.

Callie is survived by her parents, Frederick and Bonnie Merrill III, her brother, Bryce David Merrill, 17, her Grandparents in Vermont, Fred and Peggy Merrill, her Grandma Kathie, Uncle Gabe, Aunt Lynette and cousin Maisie in Hawaii and two Aunts in California, Aunt Ronda and Uncle Geoff Williams.

In lieu of flowers, Callie's favorite place to be was at The Gabriel Foundation in Elizabeth, CO. This is a sanctuary for large and small parrots and this is where she adopted her beloved Loki and her cockatiels.

We will Love and Miss you Forever Girl and we will be together again in Heaven. Fly Callie Fly!

While we are not doing an immediate funeral, Callie's Celebration of Life is being planned now and information will be updated as we have it. We are looking at dates around July 11 and forward. Thank you
