Carl P. Fiechtl

April 19, 1938 — October 23, 2020

On Friday, October 23, 2020, Carl P. "Clyde" Fiechtl, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 82

Carl was born on April 19, 1938 in Pueblo, CO to Carl and Gladys (Chambers) Fiechtl. He was a graduate of Pueblo Catholic High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Southern Colorado College in 1967, and he worked for Denver Public Schools and was in sales after that for about 25 years in Denver, CO. On August 10, 1963, he married Audrey Ann Smelek, his one and only true love. They raised their son Eugene.

Carl always had a smile on his face, a story to tell and loved to talk to people. His passions were woodworking, cooking and dancing at various community concerts in the metro area. Along with his hobbies Carl was also an avid bowler. The pins at the local alley still shudder at the mention of his name. Those who knew Carl or "Clyde" as some of us called him, knew he loved to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen, but more than anything, everyone recognized how proud he was of his family.

Carl is survived by his wife Audrey, his son Eugene, grandchildren Sophia, Josef and Graycen. A memorial mass and funeral service will be held on Monday November 16th, 2020 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver CO at 6 o'clock p.m. Cards can be sent to 4452 S. Zenobia St. Denver, CO 80236.
